KH 400 No. 1

KAWASAKI KH 400, built in 1975, 3 cylinder 2-stroke with 36 hp

Vehicle had been parked in a barn for decades. As all the chrome parts were heavily corroded, we decided in favour of a black powder coating after consultation. (Re-chroming would have been extremely expensive). Unfortunately, there are hardly any replica or used parts available for the rare KH 400. When the two-stroke engine is in the right rev range, the bike really gets going and is reminiscent of the ‘good old days’ of the 70s.

✔️ Wheels: New rim rings, new spokes, new tires
✔️ Frame: Add-on part and main frame as well as chrome parts powdercoated
✔️ All wearing parts new: cables, shafts, battery, wheel bearings, chain set etc.
✔️ Paintwork green glaze metallic, Experience Colours
✔️ Seat re-upholstered and re-covered (Schneider Wettringen)
✔️ Handlebar fittings, cockpit etc. dismantled, cleaned and partially painted
✔️ Electrics restored
✔️ Engine/carburetor: Engine blasted and engine cover polished, carburetor dismantled, ultrasonically cleaned, rep kits fitted and adjusted
✔️ Fork: New stanchions with oil seals and new fork oil installed, fork tubes polished
✔️ VA bolts, small parts, rear shock renewed
